Year 11 Sport Mathematics (11SMA)

Students are placed in the appropriate year 11 maths course based on the results of their topic tests, end-of-year exam and e-asTTle results from year 10.

The course offers 21 credits at Level One and consists of four internal assessments and 3* external assessments. The course also offers an opportunity of an endorsement. The course offers Statistics standards and Algebra based standards which prepares students to either choose a pathway towards Calculus and/or Statistics. In Sport Maths, Maths is linked to Physical Education and Science through the Integrated Unit when students complete two Statistics internal assessments using physiological data.

The MCAT is an hour long exam paper students sit in mid-September under exam conditions (optional).
