12MATI Course DescriptionTeacher in Charge: Mr J. Anderson.
Pre-requisitesA minimum of 10 NCEA Level 1 Mathematics credits
Achievement of the CAA (Common Assessment Activity) numeracy corequisite
Or approval by the HoLA
The 12MATI course offers 16 credits at Level Two and consists of five internal achievement standards. Being an only internal course it DOES NOT offer an opportunity for a course endorsement.
Statistics standards are offered in this course and upon the successful completion of this course students have an opportunity to enrol in the 13MATI course for the following year.
Note: Most assessments are done on Google classroom so a device is compulsory. Students also need a scientific calculator for this course.

Contributions and Equipment/StationeryThere is a $20 + GST course fee that covers NZGrapher, printed resources/workbook and worksheets.
Workbooks for all internal standards are recommended and can be ordered online through Office Max.
OPTIONAL - Students can subscribe for Education Perfect (a digital learning platform) and get access to range of lessons, practice tasks, practice assessments as well as past external papers.
Students MUST have their own Scientific/Graphics calculator (recommended by NZQA), 1E5 Quad books, pen and chromebook.
