Year 13 Mathematics Modelling (13MATM)
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr K. Kumar.
The 13 MATM course offers 16 credits at Level Three and consists of four Internal achievement standards and one external standard, hence offering an opportunity for a course endorsement. Statistics and Algebra based standards are offered in this course.
This course gives students an opportunity to gain UE.
Note: Most assessments are done digitally via Google classroom so a device is compulsory. Students also need a scientific calculator for this course.
Pre-requisites
Students must have at least 14 credits at Level 2 to gain entry to this course, and at least one assessment at a Merit grade or higher.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
There is a $40 course fee that covers the subscription to Education Perfect, which is our e-learning platform, NZGrapher, and Walker Math workbooks. A graphics calculator (fx-9750 GII) is highly recommended.

You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
Total Credits Available: 16 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 4 credits.

Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
