Pre-requisitesStudents are placed in the appropriate year 11 maths course based on the results of their topic tests, e-asTTle and overall teacher judgement results from year 10.
The 11MATN course consists of the three strands of Mathematics: Number, Measurement and Statistics which are the basis of this course. The subject allows students to build confidence, develop problem-solving skills and apply mathematical concepts useful outside of school. This course will focus on working towards achieving the mandatory Numeracy co-requisites (10 credits) at Level 5 of the curriculum.
The course also allows the students to work on unit standards of Financial Capability which will be useful to the students in their everyday lives.

Contributions and Equipment/StationeryThere is a $40 course fee that covers the subscription to NZ Grapher and other online subscriptions/worksheets.
Each student will also need a scientific calculator, ruler and protractor.
