Year 11 Mathematics Internal (11MATI)
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr K. Kumar.
11MATI is a dynamic mathematics course designed to enhance students' numeracy skills and deepen their mathematical understanding. This course shares similarities with the 11MATH course, focusing on core numeracy strategies and incorporating three internal achievement standards. However, in 11MATI, the emphasis is placed on developing numeracy skills, and students will pursue two internal achievement standards. There is an external standard which can be offered to students as well. By successfully completing 11MATI, students will strengthen their numeracy abilities, deepen their mathematical proficiency, and fulfil the numeracy corequisite requirement.
Key Features:
- Dynamic curriculum with a strong emphasis on developing numeracy skills.
- Incorporation of core numeracy strategies.
- Two internal achievement standards and one external achievement standard, each worth 5 credits.
- Focus on strengthening numeracy abilities and deepening mathematical proficiency.
- Successful completion prepares students for the numeracy corequisite assessment which is an external assessment.
