Students are placed in the appropriate year 11 maths course based on the results of their topic tests, e-asTTle and overall teacher judgement results from year 10.

The 11MATU course offers a combination of internal assessed unit standards and achievement standards credits at Level 1. The three strands of Mathematics: Number, Measurement and Statistics are the bases of this course, which allows students to build confidence, develop problem-solving skills and apply mathematical concepts useful outside of school. There are four Achievement Standards including an optional one that would allow the student to continue into year 12 Maths Modelling.
