Year 10 English (10ENG)

Students will cover a wide range of text-based units within which they will be given many opportunities to develop a range of literacy skills. It is intended that students will study texts and learn skills using an inquiry-based approach in order to most effectively encourage holistic learning and to allow students to reflect on and respond to issues in their wider world.

 We will use both paper and digital devices across the Year 10 cohort; students will be offered opportunities to enrich and extend their learning through a blended approach.  All classes will have access to an online programme called Education Perfect which offers engaging forays into the worlds of Language, Literature and Comprehension.

Units of study include personal reading, writing, the study of both written and visual texts and visual and oral presentation skills.
