11SMA

Year 11 Sport Mathematics (11SMA)

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr K. Kumar.

11SMA offers students a mathematics course that aligns with their individual interests and goals. This course, similar to 11MATE, focuses on enhancing mathematical proficiency and incorporates core numeracy strategies. 11SMA provides students with options to tailor their learning experience, allowing them to choose from three pathways:

(1) pursuing two internal and two external achievement standards,

(2) opting for two internal  and one external achievement standard, or

(3) focusing solely on two internal achievement standards.

Regardless of the chosen pathway, successful completion of 11SMA ensures students not only enhance their mathematical proficiency but also attain thorough preparation for the numeracy corequisite assessment, equipping them with essential skills for future academic pursuits.

Key Features:

- Flexible course structure with multiple pathway options.

- Focus on enhancing mathematical proficiency and incorporating core numeracy strategies.

- Successful completion prepares students for the numeracy corequisite assessment.
