Year 13 Computer Studies (13COM)
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr R. Rounds.
This is a continuation of Year 12 Computer Studies and will further equip you with entry knowledge and skills in IT (Information Technology). You will learn intermediate and advanced tools and techniques to manipulate data in a range of programs such as, spreadsheet, database and presentation software. You will learn how to use digital tools to research, collaborate and connect with others effectively, safely and using good practice. You will also develop problem solving skills that are in demand within the IT industry.
Please note: Computer Studies is not UE approved but the credits you gain will contribute towards NCEA Level 3.
Pre-requisites
12COM or 12PRG or 12DGT and gained 10 or more credits or by approval of the HOD.
