Year 13 Mathematics Internal (13MATI)
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr Z. Irani, Mr J. Anderson.
The 13 MATI course offers only INTERNAL 16 credits at Level Three. It consists of four Internal achievement standards.
It is important to note that this course offers only internal credits and NO EXTERNAL credits, thus it DOES NOT provide the opportunity for course endorsement.
This course gives students an opportunity to gain UE.
Pre-requisites
Students must have at least 10 credits at Level 2 with at least one of the achievement standards with a Merit to gain entry to this course and approval by the HOLA.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
There is a $40 course fee that covers NZGrapher, online subscriptions and worksheets.
Optional - 1) It is recommended that students have the Nulake workbooks for practice of internal standards($24)
which can be ordered via the school office.
2) Students can subscribe for Education Perfect (a digital learning platform) and get access to range of lessons, practice tasks, practice
assessments.
Students MUST have their own Scientific/Graphics calculator (recommended by NZQA) and 1E5 Quad books.

Number of credits that can be used for overall endorsement: 16
Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
