The National Certificate in Building, Construction and Allied Trades Level 2 is planned over two years during Year 11 and Year 12. In Year 11 students study 4 hours per week and in Year 12 students study 4 hours per week.
The National Certificate in Building, Construction, and Allied Trades is a pre-employment qualification for those seeking employment in the building industry or as the first stage in an apprenticeship in one of the many trades allied to the building industry.
The qualification focuses on the acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in Health and Safety, First Aid, English, Reading Plans, and Mathematics. Students construct basic items from timber and other resistant materials.
Pre-requisites
Successful completion of 11 BCP or equivalent and Level 1 Literacy and numeracy.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
$250 to cover the resistant materials
