Year 12 Mathematics with Statistics (12MAS)
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr Z. Irani, Mr J. Anderson.
The 12 MAS course offers 16 credits at Level two and consists of four internal assessments and one external assessment. The course also offers an opportunity for subject endorsement. The course offers Statistics standards which prepare students for the Level 3 Statistics course.
Note: All assessments are done on Google classroom so a device is compulsory. Students also need a scientific calculator for this course.

Revision for Exams
Pre-requisites
Students must have at least 15 credits at Level 1 with at least an ACHIEVED for 1.3 External assessment (91946 - Interpret and apply mathematical and statistical information in context) and approved by HOLA.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
There is a $40 course fee that covers NZGrapher, online subscriptions and worksheets.
Optional - 1) It is recommended that students have the Nulake Statistics workbooks for practice of external standards($17) and internal standards($17)
which can be ordered via the school office.
2) Students can subscribe for Education Perfect (a digital learning platform) and get access to range of lessons, practice tasks, practice
assessments as well as past external papers.
Students MUST have their own Scientific/Graphics calculator (recommended by NZQA) and 1E5 Quad books.
