Year 12 Early Childhood Education and Care (12ECE)
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs B. Spencer.
The aim of this course is to equip students with skills and knowledge that will enable them to support and work with children in an early childhood setting or in any field related to children.
Work experience is compulsory and is undertaken during class time in Term 2. A contract signed by the student, the school and the centre must be completed before undertaking work experience.
Course will close at a maximum of 56 students ( Two - Yr 12 ECE classes) and will be picked on first come, first serve basis.
This is a Unit standard course.
Pre-requisites
90%+ attendance and a good pastoral record to enable Work Experience.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
$30 to cover the costs of workbooks and work experience.
