Year 11 Mathematics Numeracy (11MATU)
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr K. Kumar.
The 11MATU course offers a combination of internally assessed numeracy unit standards and achievement standards credits at Level 1. The three strands of Mathematics: Number, Measurement and Statistics are the bases of this course, which allows students to build confidence, develop problem-solving skills and apply mathematical concepts useful outside of school. There are four Achievement Standards including an optional one that would allow the student to continue into year 12 Maths Modelling.

Pre-requisites
Students are placed in the appropriate year 11 maths course based on the results of their topic tests, e-asTTle and overall teacher judgement results from year 10.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
There is a $30 course fee that covers the subscription to Education Perfect, MyiMaths, NZ Grapher, 10 Ticks worksheets and Walker Math Algebra workbook. Each student will also need a scientific calculator, ruler and protractor.
Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
Total Credits Available: 20 credits.
