Year 10 Expressive Wellbeing: Physical Education, Health and The Arts (10EWB)

Course Description

Expressive Wellbeing is made up of the core curriculum areas of:

  • Physical Education
  • Health
  • The Arts

Students learn about contexts related to Health and Physical Education with a creative twist to enable them to express themselves individually and collaboratively.

Topics may include:

  • Mental health 
  • Identity
  • Social expectations and peer pressure
  • Nutrition

This course will explicitly develop the college Capabilities of:

  • Creative and critical thinking – in which students apply critical, creative, and analytical thought processes to address a range of real-world applications of problem-solving.

Students will take their learning and express it in different ways to show their understanding of topics.

  • Global Leadership - understanding different viewpoints and ways of thinking to lead and empathise with others. 

Students will be encouraged to explore different perspectives and issues in group settings to gain a deeper understanding of the world around them.
